Each year, Pine Bluff Wastewater Utility treats approximately 5.1 billion gallons of wastewater. We maintain 450 miles of wastewater lines, and operate and maintain 50 pumping stations to move wastewater through the system.
It is a full time job! Not only do we make sure that the wastewater being discharged into the Arkansas River is clean, we are responsible for monitoring local industries, making sure that our wastewater system is kept free from toxic and hazardous waste.
