Pine Bluff Transit (PBT) continues to provide transportation services while confronting the current pandemic. To ensure the safety of transit employees and riders, PBT is taking precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As a part of its normal daily maintenance, the department cleans buses, facilities and equipment. To this regimen we have added routine fogging with commercial sanitizer. Transit employees are screened and temperature checked prior to the start of their work day and masks are required for personal interactions.

We also seek the cooperation of the riding public in this preventive process. When boarding the bus and for the duration of the ride, all riders must wear masks that fully cover the nose and mouth. Riders are also asked to comply with non-invasive temperature checks. In keeping with social distancing guidelines, PBT has limited the number of riders allowed on each bus. Seats are clearly marked for availability. These capacity constraints are just another way to prevent the spread of the virus and to keep transit employees and passengers safe.

We encourage all passengers to follow CDC guidelines and practice good hygiene. Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Use hand sanitizer when soap and water are unavailable. If you feel you have any of symptoms of COVID-19 exposure, DO NOT BOARD ANY PBT BUS. Contact your health care professional.
