The City of Murals

The murals on the exterior walls of some of Pine Bluff’s downtown buildings are not only exquisite but unique and educational as well. While enjoying them you can learn some interesting historical facts about Pine Bluff.

The Murals on Main project was launched in 1992 by Pine Bluff Downtown Development, Inc., a non-profit organization with the goal of revitalizing downtown. Thirteen murals have been completed so far, and nine more are planned for a total of 22.

The subjects include: Main Street 1888, Saracen, the Old Fire Station (Eighth & Main Streets), UAPB Mural, the Movie Mural, the Timber Mural, the Medical Mural, the Arkansas Flag Mural, the Grider Field Mural, the River Mural, the Auto Club Mural (Third & Main Streets), Steam Engine 819 Cotton Belt Railroad (901 Main Street), Delta Heritage Mural (129 Main Street).
